After emailing Yukari regarding a request to upcycle a small hand bag into a fanny pack as part of my fly fishing gear, she was more than happy to take on the challenge. Our meeting was wonderful, she understood what was needed to create the pack I wanted telling it would be ready for pickup in a couple days. A day later I received an email with a picture. Looking at what she had designed for me was perfect! I picked it up that day with Yukari explaining a few things about her design.

Yukari repaired two fabric dog crates that our puppy ripped. We thought we were going to have to throw them out, but she did such a good job that we are able to use them, and they look great!

Love the convertible bag backpack/mini purse duo that Yukari made. I am looking forward to using them for a long time to come. I had a raggety old Pound Puppy named Cooper that needed some tender loving care. His ear had been ripped off, and quite a few seams had been pulled open, needing some stuffing and patches. Yukari was meticulous with her restoration, re-stuffing the old boy, and hand-stiching the patches, ensuring the thread matched his colouring. She even added a bow-tie to complete the project. Cooper is now proudly displayed in my living room, and everyone who comes by interacts with him and comments on Yukari’s quality work! I am so happy with the results!
I approached Yukari with an idea for something to protect my glass tables. I didn’t want a table-cloth per se, and placemats in the store were far too small. She came over to measure the tables, and I described my very basic idea. Yukari ran with it, coming up with the amazing idea to make double-sided table-toppers using upholstery fabric to the diameter of the table. They fit perfectly, and she did a great job sewing them for my round tables.
We had some fabric left over, so she also made toppers for my wardrobes, and even had enough fabric to make a protective sleeve for my journal.
She took my ideas, and made them a reality. Yukari’s stitching is impeccable, and we had a lot of fun brainstorming ideas!
